Privacy Policy

At CitizenshipTestQuestion.com, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information associated with your use of our free educational study platform.

i

Privacy at a Glance

We do not require account registration, passwords, or credit card numbers to access all 100 civics questions and practice tests. Your mock interview test scores and flashcard progress are stored locally on your device in your browser's local storage and are never uploaded to our servers.

01.Information We Do Not Collect

CitizenshipTestQuestion.com is built as an open-access public resource. We do not require you to create an account, register an email address, or provide personal identification information (such as your full legal name, Social Security Number, Alien Registration Number / A-Number, or postal address) to practice the civics questions or use our speech recognition tools.

02.Local Storage & Device Data

To provide a personalized study experience without requiring accounts, we utilize standard browser localStorage technology. This stores:

  • Your preferred study filter (e.g., All 100 Questions vs. 65/20 Senior Exemption).
  • Selected state or territory for customized Governor, Senator, and Representative answers.
  • In-progress or completed mock interview test scores.
  • Flashcard starred or saved items for targeted review.

This data remains strictly on your device. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser cache and cookies or using your browser's site settings.

03.Voice Input & Web Speech API

Our mock interview simulator offers an oral mode utilizing the native browser Web Speech API (SpeechRecognition and SpeechSynthesis).

Audio captured during oral practice is processed directly by your operating system and web browser engine. CitizenshipTestQuestion does not record, transmit, store, or sell your voice recordings or biometric data.

04.Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense

To keep our educational tools 100% free for all aspiring citizens, we may display advertisements served by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Managing Personalized Advertising:

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info or Network Advertising Initiative.

05.Log Files & Performance Analytics

Like most modern web services, our servers automatically record standard technical log entries when pages are accessed. These logs may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser user agent, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, and date/time stamps. This diagnostic data is strictly used for analyzing server performance, preventing malicious traffic or DDoS attempts, and maintaining site reliability.

06.Your Rights (CCPA, CPRA, & GDPR)

Depending on your geographical jurisdiction (such as California or the European Economic Area), you have statutory privacy rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Right to Know / Access: You may request disclosure of any personal data processed about you.
  • Right to Deletion: Because we do not maintain accounts or server-side personal profiles, clearing your browser's local storage and cookies deletes all stored local study preferences.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
  • Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

07.Children's Online Privacy (COPPA)

Our service is geared toward adult naturalization applicants preparing for the official U.S. citizenship exam. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through our site, please contact us immediately so we can promptly address it.

08.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our operational practices, regulatory requirements, or advertising partner standards. The "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this document indicates when the policy was most recently reviewed.
